Collection of lamps made from recycled cardboard by Graypants – Maison & Objet 2012

Established in 2008, Seattle and Amsterdam-based design studio Graypants quickly won over decorators and interior designers with its singular range of lamps made from recycled cardboard. Handcrafted from cuttings, which are glued together, the lamps come in a wide variety of shapes and function with all types of currently coexisting light bulbs.

Last week, Graypants presented its 2012 collection at the Maison & Objet exhibition. Suspensions, standard lamps, table lamps… architectural pieces with a strong identity, where the mix between the rawness of the cardboard and the plays on transparency works marvellously.
