For its 3rd edition, from October 18th to 22nd, Design Élysées takes back its place along the Grand Palais, which incorporates, since 2011, the most anticipated Parisian events of the Art Week (FIAC, ART ÉLYSÉES, SLICK, CUTLOG…)
Design Élysées offers a fine selection of major players in XXth century design. It’s the rendez-vous for visitors curious of innovative furniture and objects that have revolutionised our interiors, for well-informed collectors and nostalgic visitors in search of rare and unique items.
In continuation of the 2011 exhibition on the « Futuro » by Matti Suuronen, Design Élysées this year presents, together with the Velvet gallerie, an installation around utopian architecture and op art staged by Marc Mineray of Gallerie 47: ‘La sphère d’isolement’ – edition Les plastics de Bourgogne – by Maurice Claude Vidili. Created in 1971, this futuristic ball perfectly met the aesthetics of the 70s, a decade of social and human utopia, with its dreams of conquering space and its creations related to the development of new materials.
An event to witness from the Place de la Concorde to the Franklin Roosevelt roundabout, in association with the Art Élysées fair as always.
