Edvard – The versatile mirror by Jean-François d’Or for Reflect+, Kortrijk 2012 preview
We had already presented the work of Jean-François d’Or this year with the Elisabeth mirror, which was recently awarded a prize at the inauguration of RECIPROCITY Design Liege 2012.
The Belgian designer and editor Reflect+ continue their fruitful collaboration with Edvard, a versatile mirror with simple uncluttered lines. Beyond its design, Edvard seduce us through the 3 possible uses it offers: wall-mounted, floor-standing or coffee table version – each of them a singular world developed from the same piece.
According to Jean-François d’Or, in its mural version, « the mirror is a kind of megaphone that makes the wall scream », hence its name, a tribute to Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, author of the famous ‘The Scream’ painting.
Available in two versions (large – ?70cm or small - ?30cm) – Edvard’s aluminium structure comes in different colours (white, black, yellow, green and blue). A piece, which will soon be on display at the 2012 Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium.
