House Ber in Midrand – South Africa – by Nico van der Meulen Architects

A simple rectangular shape with the living rooms in the centre surrounded by a pool and a koi pond, open and airy spaces, a resolutely contemporary interior…

Here is House Ber, one of the latest projects delivered by Werner van der Meulen of Nico van der Meulen Architects.

The architecture is marked by the steel beams that structure the different spaces and appear in random shapes on the facade. Steel is also present in the various contemporary sculptures signed Regardt van der Meulen.

On the fitting out side, the architect summoned the biggest names in international edition, including B & B Italia, Pedrali and Molteni & C or Foscarini and Zero for the lighting.
