Taiwan was in the place of honour during the latest edition of Maison & Objet. Art, crafts, design… A chance to discover the many facets of local Taiwanese creation.
In this space, the Benches chair made a strong impression on visitors. The concept: an evolving and functional piece, which by unfolding can transform into a bench (or coffee table) and then again in two distinct benches or side chairs thanks to a simple magnet system.
Homer seem to have made this modularity one of their trademarks. As reflected in other pieces of the collection such as Diamond, in turn a chair and a deckchair depending on how it is positionned, or Cross, a stool that transforms into a deckchair once stretched out.
Creations that remind us in the same spirit of Flip, the kids chair by Marco Hemmerling, or the excellent Flip Series collection by Daisuke Motogi.
