Les nichoirs Picto dans l’exposition Design Animal au Centre Design Marseille

A partitioned apartment to reinvest (6 rooms for 60m2!), a collection of comics looking to be enhanced, a functionality to optimise and a freshness to instil… These are the challenges accepted by the team of h2o architectes – Charlotte Hubert, Jean-Jaques Hubert & Antoine Santiard – for their work on the Recto-Verso apartment located in the Xth district of Paris.
In the end, the project offers a large open space punctuated by furniture with variable geometries and various functions, the trio’s trademark. Cupboards, desk, video, shelves… What happens behind the scenes can be revealed in order to make way for new uses, the front side always possessing its back side counter shape…
Different niches, accommodating a counter, a bathroom or a dressing room complete the layout.
A space that is at the same time user-friendly, functional and fun, and which reminds us of the excellent London loft by Magma Architecture.
