Revolve sofa and ‘For1or2? table by I.Borovnjak & R.Bratovic – Paris Design Week

The Paris Design Week was hosting on Now! le off a dedicated space for Croatian creators with a fine selection of local designers.

The much-touted duo of Ivana Borovnjak & Roberta Bratovic, trained respectively at the Design Academy Eindhoven and at the Central Saint Martins College in London, was presenting two pieces at the same time simple and resolutely functional.

Revolve first, created in collaboration with Numen/ For Use for Kvadra Design. Awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2012 design, this sofa with cosy lines transforms into a bed with a simple gesture, the upper part of the backrest folding down to surround the seat.

‘For1or2? then, a table capable of multiplying its surface by 2 in a blink of an eye thanks to an ingenious system that allows the legs to divide into halves in order to support the table top once unfolded. The felt plays a double role as a decorative element and a gasket between the different parts of the piece.

Two young women to follow absolutely…

Créer un mobilier sculptural, avec des formes organiques, pouvoir réaliser un mobilier qui devienne un objet unique, un mobilier qui ne laisse pas indifférent, c’est un peu l’esprit de Binome...
