Schuler Villa by Andrea Pelati Architecte
For this project that fits into a peculiar construction context with only a narrow plot of land lined with house in a village centre, Swiss architect Andrea Pelati chose to protect the whole public space in order to better open it on the other side, towards a park and the rooftops of the old town.
Developed on three levels, with the ground floor dedicated to an apartment for rental, this villa is laid out from façade walls of varying heights, which create a screen allowing to peacefully enjoy this out-of-sight space.
On the south side, a terrace extends the dining area, facing the leafy surroundings. On the north side, the living room is extended by a second terrace, which leads to the garden and is open towards the vineyard and the Jura.
One of the latest realisations by Andrea Pelati Architecte agency, founded in 2005 in Neuchâtel.
