Shift coffee table and Block Containers by Sylvain Willenz + CIRVA at the Victor Hunt Gallery – Design September

In just a few years, Brussels gallery Victor Hunt has become somewhat of a reference in the field of designart… Its guideline: the work on materials, all materials, with a soft spot for processes, which at some point escape from their creator… We remember, for instance, the remarkable Balloon Bowls project by Maarten Ceulaer with its plaster containers revealing the final shape and colour at the final moment.

On the occasion of the 2012 edition of the Design September festival, Victor Hunt is presenting its latest editions with the ‘Sylvain Willenz, + CIRVA, glassworks’ exhibition, which highlights the innovative explorations of the Belgian designer in the field of glass working, in collaboration with the renowned CIRVA center for research and development in Marseille. The result of 3 years, for which the limits of the artistic work with this noble material have truly been pushed at all levels…

Come and discover Block, a collection of containers with a textured surface thanks to a work on polystyrene molds (production by La Fonderie de Verre), and our big favorite of the festival, the Shift side table, a real art sculpture made of glass, available in three colors: yellow, transparent and graphite.

A highly recommended exhibition to discover at the gallery until 6 October.
